Chapelcross Technology Campus

Application for planning permission in principle for up to 162,000m² of data centre floorspace in eight buildings on about 57 hectares north of the former Chapelcross nuclear power station near Annan. Each building is described as 120MW, and the developer calls it a 1GW campus. Dumfries and Galloway Council validated the application on 28 September 2026, with comments open until 19 November 2026.
