West Sleekburn Data Centre Campus

Outline application, lodged in June 2026, for a GBP3.8bn campus of three data centre buildings (about 356,000 sq m) and two substations on 28 hectares of farmland south of the River Wansbeck and north of Brock Lane, under two miles from the QTS Cambois campus. Planning documents describe about 90MW of gas fuel cells as a bridging supply for an initial 50MW of compute. Sources place it in the North East but do not confirm it is part of the designated AI Growth Zone sites. Coordinates are approximate (West Sleekburn).
