Is it worth it for data centre work?
It shows you understand server hardware, which is the core of a data centre technician's job. Microsoft's data centre technician careers page lists it, with A+ and Network+, as an applicable certification. It doesn't replace experience, and it isn't a requirement for entry-level roles: many technicians come in from IT support without it.
