Era4 jobs and UK data centres

Era4, which launched as Carbon3.ai and rebranded in 2026, is a UK company that describes itself as a sovereign AI infrastructure provider. In November 2025 it announced a £1 billion plan to build a UK network of data centres on former industrial and energy sites, designed, owned and operated by the company. Its first 5MW site, in the East Midlands, was due to open in March 2026, with a second planned in Derbyshire.
